RBI Officer Grade B Recruitment Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirement: As of January 1, 2023, a candidate must be at least 21 years old and not older than 30 years old.
Age Relaxation: The age relaxation is listed below, per category.
# Gen/EWS: 10 years, 15 years for SC/ST/PwBD, and 13 years for OBC PwBD. # SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, and # PwBD: 10 years.
Educational Background:
Officer Gr. B (DR) – General: Graduation in any discipline or equivalent technical or professional qualification with at least 60% (or 50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) marks, or post-graduation in any discipline or equivalent technical or professional qualification with at least 55% (or pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) marks overall across all semesters/years.
Officer Grade B (DR) of the DEPR
A Master’s Degree in Economics (or any other Master’s Degree where “Economics” is the primary component of the curriculum or syllabus, such as an MA or MSc in Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, or Industrial Economics) with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the sum of all semesters or years
OR
# A master’s degree in finance (or any other master’s degree where “Finance” is the primary component* of the curriculum or syllabus, such as an MA or MSc in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, or Agri Business Finance) with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the sum of all semesters or years
A PGDM or MBA with a specialisation in Economics or Finance and a minimum cumulative grade of 55% or an equivalent is required.
Officer in Gr B (DR) – DSIM:
# A Master’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, mathematical economics, econometrics, or statistics and informatics from IIT-Kharagpur or applied statistics and informatics from IIT-Bombay with at least 55% overall or an equivalent grade;
OR
# A Master’s degree in mathematics with at least 55% overall or an equivalent grade, and a one-year postgraduate diploma in statistics or a related field from a reputable institution; OR # A Master’s degree in statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute with at least 55% overall or an equivalent grade; OR # A Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with at least 55% overall or an equivalent grade.
