The Indian Selection Process The steps of post-GDS recruitment are as follows:

Creating a Merit List: Using a system-generated merit list, the applicants will be shortlisted for engagement. The secondary school examination for the 10th standard, administered by recognised Boards, will be used to determine the merit list. Marks will be tallied and converted from grades and points to marks, with an accuracy of four decimals. It is necessary to pass every subject in accordance with the relevant, recognised board standards.

Document Verification: The recruitment process must be completed by the shortlisted candidates attending the document verification process. The divisional head mentioned should verify the shortlisted candidates’ documentation on or before the deadline. All necessary original documents should be brought forward by the candidate for verification. A total of 15 days will be given to the shortlisted candidates to submit their documentation for review.

If an applicant’s data or marks entered into the portal are discovered to be inconsistent with the actual papers during the verification process after shortlisting, his or her candidature will be disqualified—even if there is a minor spelling error in the applicant’s name, the name of their father or mother, etc.
