The official ITI admission announcement 2023 has been released by the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam, for admission into both public and private ITIs in Assam for the session 2023–2024. Candidates from Assam who are interested and qualified may submit an online application at www.itiassam.nic.in for admission to NCVT/CoE trades, SCVT trades, SCVT under IMC, and NCVT under IMC (NCVT & SCVT trades administered by IMC in some ITIs).

Qualifications for Admission to Assam ITI
The qualifying requirements and other information for each course offered by the various Assam ITIs are shown here.
1. Desk top publishing (DTP) operator, English stenographer and secretarial assistant, Multi Media Animation and Special Effects Digital Photographer, Auto Body Mechanic, English Secretarial Practise, Cosmetology, Front Desk Assistant, Fire Technology, and Industrial Safety Management
Timeframe: one year
Education: Successfully completed the 10th grade or the equivalent
2. Assistant Computer Operator & Programmer
Timeframe: one year
Education: Successfully completed the 10th grade.
3. Bodo Language Transcription Trade (BLTT)
Timeframe: six months
Education: Successfully completed the 10th grade.
4. Mechanic Tractor, Mechanic Auto Body Repair, Mechanic Pump Operator, Mechanic, Plastic Processing Operator, and Mechanic Solar Technician
Timeframe: one year
Education: Successfully completed the Science and Mathematics portion of the 10th grade exam, or its equivalent.
Construction and woodworking, fabrication (fitting and welding), information technology, and plastic processing are the five COE sectors (BBBT modules) that make up this category.
Timeframe: one year
Education: Successfully completed the 10th grade.
6. General Painter
Time: two years
Education: Successfully completed the 10th grade.
7. Mechanic Farming Equipment
Time: two years
Passed the science and math portions of the 10th grade exams.
8. Crop technician and soil testing
Timeframe: one year
Passed the science and math portions of the 10th grade exams.
9. Surveyor, Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician, Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Draughtsman Civil, Draughtsman Mechanical, Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance, Maintenance Plant Chemical Mechanic
Time: two years
Education: Passed the 10th grade with a science and maths grade, or an equivalent,
A wireman.
Time: two years
Education: Successfully completed the eighth-grade exam
11. Surface ornamentation techniques (embroidery), dressmaking, plumbing, weld technology, and sewing technology
Timeframe: one year
Education: Successfully completed the eighth-grade exam
Age Requirement: As of August 1, 2023, the applicants’ ages must be less than 14.
How do I apply for admission to an ITI?
Candidates who are qualified and interested in applying must first register online at the ITI Admission Portal. Candidates can apply for these courses by following the instructions below.
# Scroll down to the section labelled Important Web Links.
# Select “Online Registration” to begin the registration procedure. Then, select “New Candidate Registration” to finish.
# Next, click the Online Registration link once more, and then sign in using your Application Number and Password.
# Enter all of your personal and academic information, and submit any required papers.
# After completing it, print off the application form.

The online registration period will begin on June 1, 2023, and end on June 15, 2023, at 5 p.m.

ITI Admission Procedure in Assam
The following stages are part of the admissions procedure for Assam’s several ITIs.
# After registering, all candidates must appear at their local Govt. ITI on the designated date and time with their original documents, diplomas, etc. for verification of their registration information.
Candidates should be aware that, following successful verification, they are free to enrol in the trades and ITIs of their choosing in order to participate in the allotment process.
# Allotted candidates must accept admission in the designated seats; if they do not, their applications will be disqualified.
# NCVT and SCVT certifications will be given to individuals who successfully completed their programmes in those trades.
counselling for admission to ITI
After registering, each candidate must visit their local Govt. ITI on the designated date and time with all of their original documents, diplomas, etc. to have the details of their registration verified. The candidate must then fill out and save his options within the time limit specified by DE&CT Assam in the counselling schedule.
After the choice-filling process is complete, all choices made by all registered candidates will be taken into consideration for seat allocation based on the candidate’s merit (rank) and category. The allocation will only be done for one seat, and the seat allocation is only a suggestion.
